Private Coaching

For the coaching alliance to take root and yield results, a minimum of one semester/term working with a coach is recommended.

This gives the learner and the coach an opportunity to experiment with strategies and fine-tune an approach that can be replicated in the following semesters/terms. When a coach establishes a safe, secure attachment with attentive guidance, it provides a greater opportunity for the student to thrive.

Package includes: 

​

45 Minute, weekly 1-1 personalized online session tailored to the needs of the student

10-20 minutes of meeting preparation, and weekly email session summary to parents

Students will go on their school website each week, and make a plan to complete upcoming assignments and prepare for tests.

Strategies and education will be shared as needed on Executive Function Skills, ADHD, Stress Management and Study Skills.

Text message check-in's with student in between sessions as needed to assist with follow through

Convenient monthly billing, billed 4 weeks in advance

Students have the option of canceling coaching after the first initial session of working together, and will only be charged for that session. Otherwise, the 4 week advanced billing is non-refundable.

Private Coaching - Finding Solutions - 20 Minute Sessions

​

20-Minute Private Coaching Sessions will be available for students who have participated in private coaching with me for a minimum of one semester/term. Alongside my role as a coach, I will also act as a collaborative ‘Thinking Partner’ during the sessions, supporting the student with problem solving and managing their daily life.

 

Session Format

 

Identify What Has Been Going Well

Identify Challenges/Stressors

Identify What The Student Would Like To Problem Solve

Identify the Root Cause of the Challenge/Stressor

Identify Possible Solutions

Experiment with a Possible Solution in between sessions with check in’s as needed

 

By addressing and solving for the root cause of issues that are unique to the student, we are more likely to find solutions that will lead to continued success!

 

Examples of Issues to Solve For:

 

Daily/Weekly task planning, time blocking and follow through

Talking through and breaking down steps of an assignment

Developing a study plan for a quiz/test/exam using The Study Cycle

Discuss Mindsets, Strategies, Systems or Accommodations to support success

Stress Management

 

If the student finds that they need another 20 minute session, due to the scope of the issue we are solving for, one will be offered immediately following the current session (if available), or we will schedule the next session asap. Sessions will be billed in 4 session bundles, and can be weekly, or scheduled as needed, based on availability. Session summaries will be provided to parents and/or students.
